The Druk Path Trek is a popular short trek in Bhutan, typically taking 5-6 days to complete. This trek provides stunning landscapes, beautiful monasteries, and a glimpse into the rich culture of the country. Note that this would be extremely strenuous and is not recommended without prior high-altitude trekking experience and proper acclimatization.

Morning and Afternoon
You will meet our team carrying your name placard at the Airport Gate who will drive you to a comfortable hotel in Paro for check in and freshening up. If time permits you will visit a historic monument of 1944, Rinpung dzong (fortress) and its watchtower Ta Dzong, now one of few national museums in Bhutan standing on a hilltop overseeing the Paro valley.
Alternatively, you can visit local areas in Paro and familiarize yourself with the way of living in Bhutan.
Evening
You will have dinner in one of the hotels or local restaurants if preferred and then settle for the night in hotel in Paro.
After breakfast, the trek will start with a climb through apple orchards and pine forests. You will camp near Jele Dzong, a small monastery with great views of Paro valley and Mount Jomolhari.
The trail continues to climb gradually. You might encounter yak herders along the way. The campsite offers scenic views and is surrounded by rhododendron forests.
The path leads you through ridges and forests, reaching the beautiful Jimiling Tsho Lake, known for its giant trout. The campsite is located near the lake, offering a serene setting.
Trek through high ridges with breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys. You will pass another picturesque lake, Janetsho, before reaching the campsite at Simkotra Tsho.
The trail takes you through yak pastures and alpine forests. As you descend, you will get views of Thimphu valley. Camp near Phajoding Monastery, a significant religious site.
The final day involves a steep descent through forests of blue pine. The trek ends at the capital city, Thimphu, where you can explore cultural sites and enjoy the comforts of the city.
Thimphu is one of the only capital cities in the world without traffic light. You will see a balance of culture, tolerance, modernization, spirituality, environmentalism, and economic pursuits in the ways of life. Your team is happy to indulge you in your experiences to understanding them.
Morning
You will have an early breakfast and the team will drive you directly to the Buddha Point, a towering statute of the Great Buddha Dordenma overlooking the southern Thimphu valley. The statute is one of the largest Buddha rupas in the world and the site is prominent destination to contemplate and experience inner peace fostered by serene beauty and other calming hallmarks of the destination.
Afternoon
You will have a meal in a convenient place and will visit National Memorial Chorten where you will meet dozens of Bhutanese people offering prayers and circumambulating the Chorten. This is a best place to witness religious practices and beliefs held by typical Bhutanese.
You will then visit Thimphu Centenary Park, a place where residents gather for recreation and family time. You will get hands on knowledge on how people and children spend their leisure time in urban areas in Bhutan.
In late afternoon, you will visit some of the famous tourist handicrafts. The handicrafts are the face of Bhutanese color, creativity, and cultural heritage persevering through generations and generations. This is the best place for you to purchase exquisite artistic works and organic products from Bhutan, including Bhutanese dress, something which may enrich your photo albums in the rest of your tours.
Evening
Before dinner, you will visit cafes and attend evening show in the clock tower performed by local artists and singers who often showcases their talents through music videos in YouTube channels. You will get to see a unique genre of musicals and modern entertainment in Bhutan. After dinner, you will settle for night in the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, the team will drive you to Paro International Airport calculating the time for your departure flight. The team will bid you farewell and wish you safe journey for your next chapter in life.
