Tour Plan
Morning:
- Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you will be greeted by your guide.
- Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan (approx. 1.5 hours).
Afternoon:
- Visit the Tashichho Dzong, a striking fortress and monastery which houses the throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan.
- Explore the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Evening:
- Stroll through Thimphu's vibrant market streets and soak in the local atmosphere.
Morning:
- Visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, offering breathtaking views of the Thimphu valley.
- Tour the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Arts and Crafts School), where students learn the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.
Afternoon:
- Explore the Folk Heritage Museum to gain insights into traditional Bhutanese rural life.
- Visit the Takin Preserve, home to the national animal of Bhutan, the takin.
Evening:
- Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese dinner and relax.
Morning:
- Drive to Punakha (approx. 2.5 hours) via the Dochula Pass (3,100 meters), where you can see the 108 chortens and enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas.
Afternoon:
- Visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
- Explore the Suspension Bridge, one of the longest bridges in Bhutan, offering spectacular views of the river and valley.
Evening:
- Check into your hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Punakha.
Morning:
- Drive back to Paro (approx. 4 hours).
- Hike to the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on the edge of a steep cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. This iconic monastery is one of Bhutan’s most sacred sites.
Evening:
- Bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon, taking with you unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s rich culture and natural beauty.
After breakfast, the team will drive you to Paro International Airport calculating the time for your departure flight. The team will bid you farewell and wish you safe journey for your next chapter in life.
