You will meet our team carrying your name placard at the Airport Gate who will drive you to a comfortable hotel in Paro for check in and freshening up. If time permits you will visit a historic monument of 1944, Rinpung dzong (fortress) and its watchtower Ta Dzong, now one of few national museums in Bhutan standing on a hilltop overseeing the Paro valley.
Morning: after the breakfast, attend the opening day of the Paro Tshechu at Paro Dzong. Watch the monks perform religious rituals and enjoy the colorful masked dances (Cham dances).
Afternoon: have lunch at one of the hotels and then continue experiencing the festival, interact with locals, and learn about the significance of the dances and rituals.
Evening: explore the local markets in Paro town, then have dinner in hotel and over night stay in hotel.
Morning: participate in the festival, watching different Cham dances and other traditional performances.
Afternoon: visit Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
Evening: return to the festival ground to witness the evening rituals and celebrations.
Morning: Hike to the Tiger’s Nest monastery (Taktsang). This is a moderate hike, taking about 4-5 hours round trip. Enjoy the breathtaking views and the spiritual atmosphere of the monastery.
Afternoon: return to Paro and rest. You can also revisit the festival if time permits.
Evening: experience a cultural show or enjoy a traditional Bhutanese dinner.
Accommodation in hotel.
Morning: continue to enjoy the Paro Tshechu, observing the intricacies of the Cham dances and other religious perforamances.
Afternoon: visit Drugyel Dzong, a historic fortress that played a significant role in Bhutan’s history.
Evening: attend the festival’s closing ceremonies and interact with the locals.
After breakfast, the team will drive you to Paro International Airport calculating the time for your departure flight. The team will bid you farewell and wish you safe journey for your next chapter in life.
